As part of his Masters project, the NorNet student Geir Ola Vaagland from Universitetet i Oslo (UiO) has developed and implemented SCTP API improvements for Linux. The Linux Kernel SCTP (LK-SCTP) has since a long time lacked of many nice features that are described in RFC 6458 and are provided by modern SCTP API implementations like the FreeBSD SCTP. With his improvements, the work of many Linux SCTP application developers will soon become much easier!
